Aromahead's Business Scents

Essential News

The Sweet Smell of Success

Over the years, I’ve read many business books and articles on how to grow a business. I’ve listened to advice from other business owners, engaged in classes online, read business blogs, subscribed to magazines, and watched videos. I’ve sought advice on marketing and advertising approaches, ways to manage employees, and how to set up a QuickBooks account. Through my educational journey, I have learned extremely valuable skills.

Having owned several successful businesses over the past 20 years, I have learned that the path to a successful business begins with passion, creativity and self-expression.

I would like to share the resources that have been supportive to the growth of our aromatherapy businesses. I’ve founded three successful aromatherapy-related businesses: Aromahead Institute of Essential Oil Studies, Aromatics International, and the International Directory of Essential Oil Distillers. International Journal Of Clinical Aromatherapy

International Journal Of Clinical Aromatherapy

This journal is every Aromatherpist's dream. Each issue focuses on a specific health concern. The articles address a wide range of approaches and considerations for that health concern. The editor, Rhiannon Harris, says "The International Journal of Clinical Aromatherapy was launched in 2004 in response to the demands of practitioners working with essential oils in healthcare and related professions. These therapists often use a range of application methods, styles and doses that may differ from the more traditional styles such as aromatherapy massage" I look forward to the journal arriving and I read every word! I highly recommend you try a year subscription. www.ijca.net

Balsam Poplar

Balsam Poplar

Balsam Poplar, Populus balsamifera, is an essential oil I treasure! The essential oil is distilled from the sticky flower bud oleoresin, and is traditionally used for inflammation, bruises, sore, contracted muscles, fungal infections, allergies and injuries to the skin. It is an excellent addition to German Chamomile, Matricaria recutita, and Helichrysum, Helichrysum italicum, in a blend for skin issues and for reducing the pain and inflammation from rheumatism and arthritis. Balsam Poplar also has the unique aspect of being antispasmodic, supporting an analgesic effect and reducing tension. I have expereinced this oil's amazing effects on scars and wound healing. The oil has a deeply nourishing effect.

Balsam Poplar is high in Sesquiterpene and Sesquiterpenol components, a combination I find soothing and healing for many painful physical and emotional issues. It has a strong, sweet, woody, balsamic aroma.
