Facebook Business Page

I am always looking for ways to connect with people who are interested in essential oils. It caught my attention a few years ago when I learned that Facebook has 200 million members worldwide! Perhaps a Facebook page for your business would be helpful?I set up three Facebook pages, one for Aromahead Institute, one for Aromatics International and one personal page, under Andrea Butje. Aromatics International's Search Functions

Tucked away on the essential oil pages of Aromatics International are several search functions that are incredibly fun to play with. For example, go to the Lavender page.  Locate the "Specifics" area. Here, you will find eight catagories. Each catagory is a link. Here's how we play:

• Click on the country, in this case India.  Now you will see all the oils we import from India. Next, you can click on each oil for more information.

• Chemical families: If you click on the  chemical family (Monoterpenol and Ester for Lavender) there is more information about that chemical family and a list of other oils high in that family.

• Cultivation: Certified organic, unsprayed or wildcrafted. For lists of oils that are certified organic, unsprayed, or wildcrafted.

• Aromas: All the oils with that same aroma.

• Notes: A list of oils that all have that same aromatic note.

• Extraction: A list of oils that are extracted with the same method.

• Plant part: A list of oils extracted from that plant part, and information on the emotional and energetic aspects of that plant part.

• Botanical family: A list of all the oils from that Plant family.

2009: Celebrating and Reflecting

What a great year! Are you tempted to reflect at the end of the year? My tendency is to work, learn, create, and then work more… and on the cycle goes. Sometimes I forget to pause and notice the growth in our businesses over the year. The end of the year does gently remind me to consider all that has happened.

Aromahead Institute has expanded! We bought the new land in Ithaca, NY and the teaching space is being built right now. We are excited to live in Ithaca in the summers and teach Aromatherapy classes (Andrea) and advanced bodywork classes (Cindy). We will continue to teach in Sarasota in the winter. Read More
